LIN, WING YAN YAN

 

Yan (b.1997) is a Hong Kong visual artist, currently working towards a BA in Fine Art with Birmingham City University. She previously graduated with an HD in Visual Communication (Illustration) from HKDI.

Her work uses a variety of different materials, combining drawing with sculpture and installation to communicate and challenge a broad range of social issues that affect the everyday lives of Hong Kong’s young residents.

 

Her current work explores the tension between ideas of intimacy and romance with a lack of privacy and personal space, taking a humorous look into our relationship towards ‘sex’ and how it is perceived in Hong Kong society.Focusing on the everyday desires and lustful imaginings of the cities teenagers.
